Do massage therapists need medical education? Do I have it? Do I demand it from my students?!

👉1. In short... I haven't been to doctors since I was 16, deliberately, and aren't you afraid of their incorrect diagnoses, antibiotic treatments, and unnecessary surgeries? They don't take responsibility for the consequences, and you know what I hear from the mothers of my little clients, infants? Silent horror... and people believe them in fear, and they ruin the children mercilessly, they are ruthless and indifferent even to babies.

👉2. Why study for 5 years or more in medicine, only to finally become a masseur in 1-2 months? Whom are you fooling? Sorry, "Lyubochka," but I've had enough students who worked with doctors as assistants without medical education. If you initially chose the wrong profession, then look for a more convenient one in this field - "masseur" is not a problem, just don't think that you have more knowledge and privileges; people often turn to massage therapists to heal their backs. Do you know that doctors won't stoop to the level of doing massages? In my 10 years of practice, as of November, I've had an average of 17,600 massage sessions, with various severe cases, and if we talk about what education a massage therapist should have, it's closer to the topic of "Psychology". As a psychologist, after talking to the client, it's easier for me to determine the cause of the client's illness by understanding their lifestyle, recent events, psychosomatics.

👉3. Be sure, if you're receiving an anti-cellulite massage or a SPA procedure, anything but "therapeutic," for example, at that moment, I don't recall lectures from the institute, but rely on my sensations, skills, and knowledge accumulated over the years. And 50 certificates are not a guarantee of a masseur's expertise,... far from it. What to do? Trust your intuition, not paid advertising and pictures, you can also buy a piece of paper from the institute, but not practice! 😉 Reviews and word of mouth are not paid for, unlike certificates. I have enough certificates; I've been issuing certificates myself for 6 years now, and I entered medical school in 2018, but not for myself, but for "special clients" - who blindly believe it's important. Let's say it's significant, but not a guarantee! #Drtoptun#drtoptun
